Aston Hill for me... DH fun!

Also ridden;

Danbury quite a bit and would be 2nd favourite for me as it is fairly close by and has the little trails to blast down and fun stuff to play on.

Chicksands a handful of times, much fun, but we always get carried away racing on the 4X and end up with injuries or broken bikes. Would go more if it was closer.

Enfield, just the once since building a little play bike, ended up nearly breaking my ankle and bending my bars… I can’t really dirt jump, it’s all to up and down ;-) Might be going more as it’s close by…

Epping, years ago but too XC for me.

Very interesting, definately need to get to more places :)

bit more detail:

1. Epping - miles and miles of singletrack and nearby.
2. Thorndon - Gap place looks amazing cant wait to get back
3. Woburn - did jedi's training there, would be keen to go back at some point
4. Danbury - great runs and loads to do, xc isnt bad either
5. Hainult - wouldnt bother unless i missed everything.

keep em coming...

In Order
1) Danbury
2) Epping (but only when its dry otherwise its a firm last place)
3) Thorndon as its on my doorstep
4) Hylands, yes its flat but it can be fast and techy
5) Chicksands, Hours of fun but have trouble convincing people to come with me after last time (my brother almost killing himself)
6) Hainault, good for winter training
10) Wet Epping

Been to 5 of them.

1. Danbury - loads to do, great to mix up the jumps and runs. Compact, so can fit in a lot in a short space of time.
2. Chicksands - although haven't been in a while so may have slipped behind Woburn as there's less there now. Good in the winter/wet.
3. Woburn - haven't been much, but loads there in a small area which I like. The best option when everywhere else is a mudfest.
4. Epping - miles and miles of singletrack fun. An absolute mare in the winter though.
5. Thorndon - good singletrack, not as big or varied as Epping, but dries much quicker in the rain.

I used to be a lot like you but now I'm only me

I forgot Langdon Hills, great fun but like Epping you need a guide or plenty of time also no fun in the wet

1. Downham reservoir I can knock up some miles there. 30 hectors of woods and open space can spend two hours and not see a soul 8-)
2. Gap \ Thorndon. Can get there by myself Train. When start ride there was five hill couldn't get up now there only one. ( need to find more hills)
3. Epping Only been twice once raining other time dry. Can't be that bad in winter months. Must have seen only a small part of the trails.
4. The Grove & Hockley Wood Again can get there by train then ride there. Alot more to trails to find in Hockley woods.
5. Danbury Been couple of times. Don't fit in there as most have full face helmets ;)
6. LAST Langdon Hills Always seems to be an ass to get to and end of ride haven't done many miles.

Most of the places wouldn't have see if it not for VWChauffeur ;)

Depends on mood & weather tbh ;-)

1. Danbury - love the fun factor
2. Woburn - Massive amount of DH trails to work on there now, as TRAX says best place when others are in slop condition too
3. Epping when dry , massive fun factor and top sociability, still go there in wet but less people out & proper 'endurance' test-lol
4. Thorndon - Havent been for a while but do like that place for mileage, Ninja the man for that one
5. Broxbournce - My original stomping ground from a few years ago , Ok but you need someone to show you around tbh. Took us a while to link together some good routes

In order, so far-

1) Danbury- you need to switch on when riding, reminds me of Les Gets.
2) chicksands- dead simple, easy to use.
3) local dirt jumping quiet spot- needs expanding but good practice.
4) porc - not been for a while, and last time it was way too full sus DH orientated for my liking. I'm planning on going there next to see how it is now. Seen some pics of the new shaped quarry which looks like airtime fun!

Really want to check out Aston hill and Woburn as well.
