Hi there,

My name is Rui. I'm a Portuguese-Canadian who's lived in the UK for 9 years now. I did a little bit of riding back when I used to live in Cambridge, shortly after arriving in the UK. But then my bike got stolen and I moved to London and mtb'g stopped for a time.

After a longer-than-anticipated time away from the trails, I'm back and looking to get back to some trail riding regularly. As it happens, I don't know anyone in London who rides, so I'm looking to meet new people who can show me (and my partner) around. I'd like to think I'm not a terrible rider, though it has been more than 7 years! so a slowish start may be in order. My partner is a total novice, so any advice about trails that I can use to help break him in with would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome. As mentioned, check out the map, find the closest place to you and give it a try. Keep a lookout for group rides too.
