I've found a spot to make some trail just outside of Braintree in shalford.
Planning on a XC loop with a few berms and jumps but done decretly so they aren't destroyed.
Another option is the old quarry jumps than need a bit of work

After some trial digging I've abandoned the idea as there isn't much potential.

I live in Braintree and have started looking for some trails to ride.
Let me know if you find somewhere else you want to do this.

The only places I've found are the old quarry which has had a few jumps there for years

Sorry it’s taken a year to reply, but yes at the end of convent lane.
There are 4 sets of doubles in a row which I’ve cleared the foliage and started to shape, a step up and lots of potential.
If anyone fancies riding or digging let me know

I'm well up for this. I'm mostly off during weekdays so may be difficult to plan a weekend if that's what you had in mind.

Im off ever other Monday and about in the evening.
I’ve hidden a shovel if you want to do a bit of digging.
I’m planning on heading up there after six today if you’re free

Let me know! I'm gonna go out for a ride on Wednesday around Southend (belfiars wood) but should be around in the afternoon.

Just noticed there is a dh and jump section on the forum where is thread is probably better suited.
But anyway, I’ve done a bit of work on the spot and have a few short trails that run well, some of them are mega bumpy but I quite like that as it’s for mtb not bmxs.
I’ve started to make the gap jumps longer and with mellower landings as it’s better for the longer bikes.
One berm needs lengthening as it currently wants to put your front wheel the wrong side of a tree. Have two more berms planned and possibly a north shore jump. All the dog walkers seem more than happy that im sorting the place out, probably helped that I’ve picked up lots of litter and cleared lot of nettles.
Anyone wants to help or ride it, get yourself down there
