Hello

Newbie to proper mtb here, not sure how but went out and bought a pretty decent bike, got to get the skills to match now. The fella is the expert but we rarely get days off together, both up for meeting some other bikers though. Anyway feeling pretty frustrated having this bike but living east london atm. I'll probably look for rides going on so I get out regularly- Epping forest is my closest though from this forum looks like people leave it when it gets proper muddy later in the year?

I've been told I have to be PORC ready by next summer :high5:

You could catch a train from stratford out to Hadleigh for the olympic track or nearby, or out to chelmsford to head to Danbury?

Oh Danbury and Thorndon look good, apparently real quick train trip too. Thanks! I guess we want to freeride... i'm still learning to corner well lol but speeding down hills and over stuff looks fun.

There is an mtb track in the velopark in stratford, pretty good if you're nearby. Not a nice day out in the woods of course but a good amount of it. It's close so i should just get myself in there regularly, but I'll look out for rides on here and check those places out.

I've done a couple of laps of the mtb track a stratford, its pretty fun.

If you want to learn a bit more about freeride head to danbury or warley. There are always riders at both locations

I'm new to East London / new to mountain biking and keen for some casual rides through epping forest! My bike is super klunky but it will be upgraded as soon as I build some skill.
I'm about a 10 minute ride from Epping Forest and keen to head up on Saturday 14th to do some exploring!?
