Hi ya, as some one whos always rode hardtail bikes n looking for new ground to ride n crash on (i think Epping forest dislikes me) , i joined this site an after reading loads, ive joined the full suss gang....lol. I hunted about online looking for a semi decent 2nd hand fs bike, an with a bit of luck found meself a pretty decent old bike (with good reviews by all the mtb press) for what i thought was ok money. Bit of a track to go get it from Enfield but still cheaper than buying a local heap an spending loads rebuilding it. Gave it a quick clean today an looks like all im gonna need is a new front goodridge brake hose n new seat stem (purly cosmetic it looks worn n tacky) All the gears index proper, brakes work (will be better with new pads but ok for now). Front goes up n down, back end does the same as well. So all in all got myself a super light, well equiped with good spec kit to relearn to ride on. £550 all in (petrol, food, coffees n a drink for the drivers time 9 hours travel) for a whyte 46, maverick duc front end, fox rp3 rear shock, hope twin pot brakes, xt componates all round.... did i do the right thing an get a good deal or should i stick to the hardtail bizango....?

Sounds like a decent bike.

As long as you enjoy riding it and it keeps up with what you want to do there is no need to worry.

Might find it a bit taller than your Bizango.

Going back to 26 wheel size was about the wierdest change after a few years on the 29s. Seems a good bike bit dated by then so am i an to be honest with ya. An when they first appeared I did quite fancy having one then but new kid at the time kinda put a hold on bikes n riding so in a way I've restarted riding with what I wanted when I stopped so not all bad lol
