On Friday just gone me and 3 friends went to Chicksands bike park for a day of fun, First thing we done were the drop offs and one of my friends went down fine but came off the bike over the jump... He is still in hospital with a broken arm, 6 broken ribs, and a punctured lung.... it has really put me off biking, im gutted.... just dont want to get back on my bike... Help

This is perfectly normal... The only way to lose the fear is by getting back on the bike....

If you do want to tackle bigger trail obstacles safer, it may be an idea to get some MTB coaching. I was very scared to take any jumps at all and took a few classes and I have now managed to clear a 30ft jump and 15ft drops...

I do the Chicksands one on my HT...

But this was only possible by learning all of this progressively and taking my time and building up confidence and technique.

I used Tony Doyle aka The Jedi - https://ukbikeskills.co.uk/
