Evening all..

I've been offered a bike for it's running gear so I can build the full-suss up but want to try and gauge whether its a good deal or not..

It's got..

Juicy (4 or 5) hydraulic disc brakes
SRAM gears, shifters, etc
Crank and pedals, etc.. (hollow crank)
then usual other stuff - stem, bars, post, saddle, etc...
it's a hybrid so no shocks or anything useful and have to have a look at the wheels..

I've been offered it for £100 from a mate.. Sound reasonable?

Cheers in advance,

Ev

Personally, if it's all in good nick and not old and worn it seems worth it.

A new rear deraullier is about £30 for a mid range one and the brakes are about £120 each...

What SRAM gearing is on it??? x5/x9 ???

I have x5 on my MARIN HT and it's nice and smooth never had a slipped gear or dropped chain.

Excellent, the kind of response I was hoping for :)

Thanks Dan...

Will hopefully get better details tomorrow when should see it in person.

VW - afraid the frame is both a hybrid and a knackered one at that, cracked, etc..

Rob, will check what would be left after I'd taken all I need :)

Jamie, will know more tomorrow.. Know it's 27 speed but that's as much as I know so far..

Cheers,
Ev

Need to know what series the shifters are and what the cranks are to tel if its a good deal.
If its some budget cranks and pedals and the pads are fucked on the brakes, then no. You'd only upgrade the parts later anyway.

Juicy Five brakes.

Sound any good?
