http://www.timelaps.co.uk/assets/upload ... 07/08/2011Course was not technical at all and felt a bit dissappointed but still a lot of fun in the singletrack. The start was abolutely nuts! A massive stampede of riders. I locked my fork and still loads of riders ahead. After first lap I thought It'd be impossible to maintain that pace but still kept it for another 3 laps. At the beginning of 5th lap I made a quick stop to swap bottle and then started to rain -not much- and within minutes the course became terribly slippery and muddy as hell. The last lap was horrible. I felt still strong but just had to take corners in 90 degrees way. Go straight, then turn, then straight and in that way I made some places as some riders got stuck or just fell off in front of me!
Not bad position for racer cat. (23 out of 43) but I'm sure I could've done much better if there had been more twisty singletrack like in Hylands Park, for example.
Now looking forward for TORQ in your sleep and Langdon Hills.
It was nice to meet Rob, who was his first time racing, and some of the rest who were at the Warrior race.
