Riding plans,

monday 15th August, 1 or 2 places left
going again on 17/18 or 19th,
monday 22nd or 23rd August,
friday 26th august - soloing atm so all 5 places available.
friday 2nd September - 4places left

Anyone interested?

I've never been to Surrey Hills. If you organize something for Wednesday 7th, Thursday 15th or Friday 23rd September, count me in.

queues for cake, beer and motorway are smaller and the trails are very quiet, sometimes we can ride all day and see no other bikers or walkers but its a bit busier now its the school hols.

Hi Beardee I'm out of the cast now but still not got full mobility and strength back in the ankle, after the knee probably the most important joint for cycling!

I'm getting stronger but every now and then I tweak it at a new angle and it's painful. I don't want to rush getting back on the bike if it's gonna have a more detrimental effect long-term.

I might be able to make the September one I suppose. Depends on rehabilitation though.

Id advise leaving surrey hills til you can handle smallish drops though, I rode there with a leg injury and every drop hurt despite them only being a foot high.

Hope the ankle get better soon, duckcm.

Its the same range of hills as the gorrick races, so the terrain, surfaces are similar just a bit more built up and a bit more technical :)

Could do one of those dates, ill go with whichever most people want to go do.

Any other takers for them dates?

I'm off on 2nd September and Friday 23rd September. I'm back at work now but I haven't been on my bike again yet. If I can ge a good couple of weeks in should be ok for both, if not definitely the 23rd.
