Hi Adam,
Welcome to the forum, Danbury is a good choice as I went there for my first time last week. It's got a bit of everything.

Hey Adam welcome to the forum sorry to disappoint you but braintree has naff all going for it. There is the flitch way which is flat but does go all the way to stansted so its a few miles. The nearest is danbury if you like jumps and short DH runs. Then Thorndon rides i try and do on a weekly basis on saturday mornings if your interested? Im gonna try and get out on a wednesday night to do the flitch way as of next week if your up for it?

Doing the flitch way from end to end is good for stamina training.. Very rolling but featureless. About 33 miles all in. Just watch the dog walkers with those retractable leads... Bloody lethal they are
