Hey All!

Just built myself a lovely new all mountain type bike (Ragley Bluepig) and looking to get back into the swing of things after a short break from the mountain biking scene...the last ride was some serious black route action in Glentress, and while I'm not expecting anything quite as epic down South, that's basically the dream! Love a good mix of ups/downs/singletrack/northshore/technical/flowing/drops/ruts/roots...basically most things except jumps! No big air for me. Not enough balls on this one...

Not got many fellow biking buddies these days so would be great to tag along on some rides around the London peripheries or further afield. I'm a bit rusty but willing to throw myself back into it and give the bike a good testing.

Cheers and hopefully catch some of you somewhere muddy soon,
Mark

Hi Chatman, thanks for the welcome. Been itching to try out Epping forest for a while so keeping my eyes peeled. Doesn't look like there's anything going on this weekend though...

Noticed the Enduro event feed which sounds exciting. If I can get up to speed in time then I would love to get involved with that!

Got me an estate with bike roof rack so plenty of roaming potential there :)

Oh and I noticed others doing this and I couldn't resist, can't wait to get on it. Oh the pride!:

Can’t see that pic bro! Welcome to the forum. usually lots of rides on although the rubbish weather at the moment has meant the local stuff isn’t as active as it usually is. A bit of talk about this weekend over here

http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/mountain ... html#p9880

Feel free to tag along to any of the rides - they are all open invite. Blue Pig is a sweet ride!

With a car you are well with range of Swinley, N downs, Epping, Thorndon, Aston Hill - so plenty of variety if you want it.

Hi martines and welcome board. I used to live in kentish Town for nearly 2 years. Nice area and very close to Hampstead Heath.

I know the Heath has got some riding potential, but Downhill? Really? Probably should get myself up there and check it out, but always preferred the company of others when it comes to riding... :D

Really like living in Kentish Town. Convenient enough for your group to boot :)

And as it turns out I am colour-blind. I see orange as black. Wait, oh no! My bike is orange! Bright orange!

Not really, just some very non-technnical short bits

I was there on Tuesday with a mate trying his go pro in different positions and checking my hand is ok for mountain biking.

Royal Metal is the name we use for rides and my name isn't Lucas, it's just nickname in FB.
