You'll find that there are some incredibly unfit people taking part, on the southern rough ride people were pushing bikes up the first hill only a mile up and they still had 3 miles on just that first climb!

One's should expect this on no competitive event. It makes you feel superiour lol. I was thinking this time you posted earlier is bloody good having they are saying that expected time to complete is 2:30h

Parking is free, usually there's loads of room.

It looks like it will be raining on Friday. How bad the course gets when it's wet? Need to decide on what tires to use.

If you look at the photos from last year it got quite muddy. But there was a huge amount of rain last year, I don't expect it to be quite that bad so I'm not putting mud tyres on as most trails I've been on in the last couple of weeks would require more than a days rain to screw them up.

I'll be on Rockrider 9.2. I was thinking to bring my wife and kid but it looks like it will be cold and rainy tomorrow. Is there anywhere warm they can potentially go?

This was apparently the course on Thursday and it was reported pretty dry most of the route.
