A couple of weeks ago I ordered nukeproof knee/shin guards and they have started to unstich on the shin
, So I called the help desk and they offered to swap them and I keep the originals, as it happen I chose 661 rampage this time as the nukes have aged really badly IMO

So I can wear these till the new ones arrive and have a spare set :)

Will defo use CRC for everything where possible from now on

Yes, I only have good experiences from them to be fair, especially as they are such a big company, I buy a lot from them and have never had any issues.

You can use quidco with them as well - always useful.

I've found them slightly overpriced on a few commuting items (locks, mudguards etc), and also found that they're fond of dropping prices in stages...meaning that if you purchase something at a discounted price on day 1, don't check the same item on day 5 as you're likely to see further discounts applied. Not nice seeing proof you've been mugged off.

You're right though - the service is fantastic, sizing measurements are accurate, website pictures are perfect, and the staff are ever-helpful if you have to be in touch. They used parcelforce to deliver to me, and even they were fantastic. I also particularly like the little extras (trial supplements, drink bottles, tools etc) that they add to deliveries as well.

I'm in retail and appreciate how far good service goes, I'm happy to pay a few quid extra to have the back up service (specially if I can claw it back with quidco)

CRC and Merlin both do Quidco cashback. Never had a problem with either.

likewise - I just found the difference in price to be substantial enough to warrant looking elsewhere in this case (£20 on a NY 3000 Lock). I'll see how my amazon guy stacks up for delivery speed/quality though.

This quidco thing - how much can you clawback?

Normally a few percent (3% for Merlin) and it's on the ex vat total of your order excluding any postage costs if there are any. Not huge but it adds up over time.

I bought my ny3000 off amazon and it came from a company in Brighton, it was about £43 I think which was also £30 cheaper than most other places, and it's perfect

I have to admit I do love a good moan about crc as in the past I have always ended up waiting a week sometimes just for something to ship. that said in the last month or so I have noticed them getting A LOT better one of my orders were late so they sent me a free £10 voucher, I know £10 is nothing to crc but like J3w3ll3r said good service and the little extras really go a long way and are much appreciated.
