Bit of a hot topic this, as various people (including me) are not too happy with the way Hadleigh MTB has been run, and as you suggest the way they appear to be running the show, I was booted off the FB page as I mentioned that I probably didnt want to pay to join the full club and sign up to their T&C's, others have been booted off the page too for various reasons and left quite a large number who dont want anything to do with the 'club' anymore..a pity.
There are various posts about this on thje Muckers FB page.
In all truthfulness your local tesco car park is more extreme than Hadleigh. Which is fine, but some people seem to think its is super dangerous knar fest... all very strange. There also seems to be a non mellow vibe eminating from the club which I think is what Andy is referring to. Always be wary of people who want to form clubs... its a power thing dudes!
http://www.hadleighmtbclub.co.uk/Hadlei ... mbers.htmlBlimey they are charging
£20 a year to join their club and you cant see their facebook page.
True....but the track did have one or two rocky drops and a short northshore bit....its unclear how much of this will stay (take away too much and all you have left will be a dull firetrack loop), personally I'd add some berms, little drops off, etc and join it up with existing route to make a half decent route, not exactly DH but an enjoyable run.
It does seems like a power thing, the organisers have put a lot of effort into it, but have managed to annoy quite a few which is a real pity, the fact that signs on the track say dont ride and point you to the FB page (which many now cant access) is a bit strange. Riding the track isnt supposed to be on the condition you pay up and join but thats the impression you get.
