That's the idea but if I do it on Sunday trains are running later than on midweek. There's a train that arrives at Winchester before 7am. So 7am should be the starting time and getting to Eastbourne 12 hours later. Packing as light as possible, using energy drinks from sachets, powder type, gels, energy bars and some home made sandwiches of course. It might be muddy in some parts now but let's see how it goes.

My preference would be a weekend, just to save my holiday at work and dont mind which weekend during these dates but able to do anytime during 18th - 30th so will go with whatever is decided.

This sounds incredible,
Great idea, its something I would love to do but I feel 98miles is a little bit too much for me at this stage.

You've got a good 4-5 months to get some training miles under your belt. it will be 65mile on day one then an easier 33mile on day two.It won't be a sprint or race, its just for fun and the satisfaction of completing it, and if you want a chance to raise some money for your favorite charity.

the overnight stop will be at Truleigh Hill youth hostle. Their online booking show beds in a dorm room still available for sat 26th of may. £20.50 plus non member supplement of £3. I should imagine it will be basic but what more do we need. Check it out at http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodatio ... index.aspx
have a look see what you think. I'm going to book myself a place today.

So rally round troops and get organised.

cheers

Clay.

Just booked a bed. £25 with breakfast and if you cancel with at least 24 hrs notice you get 90% of your cash back.
They have secure bike storage and are set up for people doing the south downs way.
