I know i'm new here but to heck with that, it was mentioned on another thread that some may be interested in spending a day getting some training and having some fun etc at UK Bike Skills

April was mentioned so i messaged Jedi to see how to take this further.

He is getting booked up fast and currently has these dates free in April

10,11,12,24,25 and 26th april anyone have a preference ?

also its worth noting the price and ability.....

Coaching Prices:
1-to-1 coaching: £180.00
2-to-1 coaching: £120.00 per rider
3-to-1 coaching: £100.00 per rider
Private Group of 4 or more: £85.00 per rider
Public Group: £75.00 per rider

If we can get 4 or more i'm sure it will be a bit less painful, nwmlarge, myself and my mate Marco are up for it, so we really only need one or more ?

UK Bike Skills coaching grades:
GREEN: You are relatively new to cycling, you can comfortably ride on the road in traffic and are comfortable cycling on fire roads and canal paths, but you're looking for something more....

BLUE: You can comfortably ride on non technical forest paths, you may well have visited a UK trail centre, but your looking to extend your skills base and tackle some more technical trails...

RED: You have significant experience, and have ridden at UK trail centres several times. You're comfortable on technical climbs and descents, but again you're looking for a broader skills base and the ability to tackle any obstacle on any trail...

BLACK: You live and breath cycling. You're a regular user of UK Trail centres and are probably a veteran of trips to the Alps...

DIAMOND: Next step is the pro-contract. At UK Bike Skills we can help you with specific problems in your riding arsenal. At this level its as much a mental game as it is a practical skills one...

I'm going to edge on the side of caution, although i used to throw a bmx all over the place and have session Danbury once a week for 6 months my MTB is a different beast so will opt myself in at Blue but i'm probably Red to be honest ??

choose a date, i can do any....

I'm up for any of these days - ,24,25 and 26

i'm pretty much a red i would say.

i am looking to fine tune my jumping and body positioning particularly for berms and drops.

not 100% but think there only is a jumps/drops coarse ?? perhaps you have to work your way up from more basic stuff applying the techniques etc to the larger stuff ??

I'll be there on a hardtail if that helps

ok all the people that have responded have a PM, i have had a message from Tony saying it's all good

we'll meet for a 10am start on 25th April at the herts skills area.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=sg143rn&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=Ri9-TIfDEJi8jAfd7OXyCg&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&ved=0CAoQ_AU

if you wish to stay close overnight Tony recommends http://www.princeofwaleshertford.co.uk/

there are no on site amenities so you will have to take your own food and drink for the day the nearest town is Watton at Stone, no idea what they can offer in the way of eateries ?

£85 per rider for the session PM to follow with their account details for payment and 'll email you a booking form / disclaimer that you'll need to take on the day, payment confirms your booking.
