worth looking into, vertigo is a just a general name for the uneasieness of heights and caused by problems in the ear.
Tony diagnosed me as Acrophobic on my first skills lesson.

Was curious if there was a cure, so far tried sky diving and gap jumps
anyway, back on topic, have you tried drinking beer from a very heavy pint glass or attaching a dumbbell to an existing beer container?
