Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to the forum, so most of you don't know me..

However, I'm a mature student in my final year at uni. One of my final major projects is to do a film or documentary.
So I proposed a riding expo documentary. And depending on the outcome of my proposal.. I'm going to need some footage of riding (hopefully some unserious crashing too!)

I'd do it myself... but who'd hold the camera!?

It's more about the lifestyle and camaraderie that comes with riding dirt, so I'd like to get some interviews with you guys if you're up for it?

Obviously, there's gonna be a lot of riding too so I may just pop up down on the snake run at Danbury one weekend.

Either way, if anybody's up for it, I'd really like to arrange something properly so I can get all the lights etc set up ready.

At the end of it, I should have a professional 5.1 surround HD DVD mix, with a stereo mix and some cut scene extras.. which anyone who participates is welcome to have a copy of.

The end result of this for me, is to become an extreme sports camera man and/or editor. So this will be going in my portfolio... and I don't put any old p.o.s. in there (well.... I haven't yet anyway!)

Yep, why not pop along to the MSG races too? get some weird lycra louts too so you get both ends of the spectrum. plus theres always crashes on the first lap

That sounds really good mate, I'm thinking I'll record all the B-reel film first.. Riding footage, artsy bike images etc..
So yeah that sounds great. As soon as I get the go ahead from the head of dept. I'll be in touch.

Benji - need another pair of hands? I've been really wanting to make (/help make!) a bike film for a while!

I can take reasonable stills, and understand the basics of shooting video, never actually applied it though . Anyways, if it's a possibility, feel free to PM me to save from cluttering up your rider recruitment thread

perhaps you could incorporate the rider training session with UKBIKESKILLS too ?
