They have always been quiet up until i swapped wheels.

I might sand the mounting faces.

Are they cl or 6 bolt? I find the cl can be buggers from time to time...

New clutch mech, perverse one has packed up! ( somehow damaged the coil spring retainer in the clutch?) so not locking!

Went for same ( XT shadow MT1786 but medium cage this time) got just over a year & 1,400 miles, was spot on & minimal wear (apart from jockey wheels)


New BB bearings ( play in non drives use).

Great little tools them. Have one, and inflates a 29'er tyre in seconds.. Just don't pull the core out afterwards... Lol
