Just very good value frames. I had a 29er scandal and it was awesomely quick but the ride was rigid and the paint was worse than water colour for scratching. Anodizing is the way forward.
Im hoping the carbon one will be better?

Older on-one frames, especially the carbon ones were renowned for having poor paint. Apparently they've sorted this on the newer batches of carbon frames, my steel one seems ok too but a lot of it is heli-taped.

Muddy marys are the bomb!

You might have to run them softer than you think however - what new wheels do you have?

I have some EX721's with a pro 2 on the front and a supadrive on the rear.

I have heard nothing but good things about the MM's i run about 25-30psi in my minions usually so i'm no stranger to low pressures.
