Just bought myself a Crank Brothers Iodine 1 AM Riser Bar for £12 from CRC. 700mm, 30mm rise.

Ive given up on a new frame now. Ive realised that my drivetrain is on the way out now. So next on the list is a new chain, cassette, and some lube...if i can sell my bike or some other stuff.

I just bought the O'neal STV short sleeve protector shirt



So far so good its comfortable.
The Large is pretty snug on me, was interesting trying to take it off while a bit sweaty!
The shoulder pads are removeable for whatever reason you'd decide you want less protection
Yet to crash in it but it feels much better than the 661 shirt i had before and 100 times better than the 661 pressure suit for comfort.

Nice, i never thought i'd be able to get out of my 661 base layer thingy first two times were hilarious, got the knack now though

How much was the Oneal thingie ?. Ive always been tempted but was worried that it would get unbearibly hot (especially if wearing it when its actually needed i.e summer alps, etc) and as mentioned an absolute pain to get off !

I know they are suppossed to be very tight and moisture wicking, does this actually work ?

Thanks......She's great to ride...So fast.....Swapped the red rotors for blue hope saw floating rotors....Funn fatbar (blue) instead of the carbon Easton's.....Swapped the fizik gobi for the spoon & put new nukeproof pedals on her & finally Hans Dampf back & front....

It does wick away well.

If you were really worried about getting it off you could wear a base layer underneath to help it slip off.

It was 15 or so degrees when i last rode and that was playing at DC so its hot work pushing up a lot and i found it very comfortable in those conditions.

X9 shifters and superstar pedals came today for the impending purchase
Forums suggest a hole for stealth post but spesh say no but they are not the sharpest bunch so will look whilst testing next week

Have been running long sleeve version of this for DH duties for the last 2 years. Its a great bit of kit. Seems to wick well. Back protection is 'light' but it does offer good coverage for the level of flexibility you get.

Having been for a roll on the floor yesterday I found it held up well. I dropped into chute 4 at Danbury and caught a root with the front wheel so hit the deck at the bottom an I have a minor ache this morning so it worked well

Still can't get it off very gracefully.
