Agree, it's definitely up there amongst the top spots in the UK!! Very reminiscent of the Morgins Valley , in Switzerland

Very keen to get back there over the summer - hopefully next time full suspended as I'm feeling very battered today after being forced to hammer my hardtail!!

Sounds good, what was the journey like - easily done in a day?

about 3 and a half hours each way including stops - so was an early start (c. 06.30) and a late return (c. 09.30) to Loughton but we had a good run both ways - didn't feel any longer than a Welsh trip.

The guys that run the uplift can also provide camping (they have a big bell tent in their garden), cooked breakfast etc so would be ideal for a weekend particularly as they also run an uplift on some of the long (think 20 minute plus) Exmoor descents which along with Triscombe would make for an amazing weekend trip

That was a fantastic days riding.
The Fairclough track was unbelievable !
Great to meet everyone and a big thank you to Northern for organising - plus respect for riding all of that on a hard tail !
It must rate as one of the best DH places in the UK...... going to Gawton to try the SuperTavi this weekend and I'll report back.

Futete !

Great tracks with a great crowd = Wicked day....to add to what hasnt already been already said - :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

As mentioned closest to alpine ive ridden in England or Wales on rooty loamy goodness - tons of tracks and you can choose between Champery steep or bermy flow with jumps and gaps thrown in

A little bit of pedalling to get to the good good stuff and we did a fair amout of pushing up to link stuff but oh so worth it Cream teas and cakes to finnish off the day was just superb! Lots of stuff still to discover too.

Cheers to Northern for driving..... and respect for his day of hardtail action (AWESOME lol) - you must be a wreck today. Nice to meet Futete and well done to Brad and Stevo on negotiating the steeps - it gets easier I promise and is the biggest buzz.

Pics and a short vid to come.

Lets sort out that 7000ft Exmoor descent uplift!

Futete let us know what you think of Gawton.

So pics and vid below - we did like 12 runs and the few in the vid are some of the less steep ones - we were too excited about riding to faf with cams a lot. Sorry Tranny is following me a lot so theres not much variation in the rider ahead. Tranny provides the 'commentary'. Northern the music ;)

Whats tranny up to? Admiring the view ;)

On top of the world - look at all the altitude we have to loose

Awsome stack Stev-o

not my pics but there was a new demo 9 sitting in the uplift drivers front garden which shows the type of rider these level of trails attract on a regular basis
