Hi all,

Didn't want to hijack the previous post as I wasn't sure it fitted in there, but I've now finished the build of my Spesh and took it for its first run last weekend. It soon became very apparent during my ride that as i don't have a bash guard fitted, long trousers and and an uncovered crankset don't mix! and what started off as a small tear where they got caught on the teeth eventually ended with a loud rip and a large flap of trouser :lolno:

My old bike (a Spesh Hardroock) came with a bash guard so its not been a problem before but trying to find a bash guard to fit a 44t main ring is almost impossible.

I was thinking of making something but I wondered if anyone had any ideas other than trouser clips or wearing shorts?

Yeah reckon thats gonna be me best bet too.

Was thinking about getting a pair of the Humvee ones as they have good review, but have you any other recommendations out of interest ?

I got these:

http://www.endura.co.uk/Product.aspx?de ... rod_id=107

find them very comfy, smooth underside so don't catch on the seat
velcro back pockets for a bit of change and zip up side pockets which is handy.

very solidly built and have been on the deck a few times with no snagging or marks
