A question to people who own Five Ten freerider shoes..

How are the sizes, are they true to size..??

I'm asking because I'm going to buy them online ,as no shops local to me..!!

I know I can return etc at CRC etc its a pain though.. :?

I'm interested in a pair soon(sorry to jump on)
I've been running shimano dx for years but have a pair with cleats on flats I like the grip, stiffness but also the high inner angle support what 5.tens do I need. Plan to change when this pair die but 8yrs on still look good :)

I have 5.10s too and I am size 9 which fitted well. They literally glue to the pedal, I have to lift my foot up before the shoe comes off the pedal. I had Teva before and size 9 was tight, and nowhere as grippy as 5.10s. Expensive but money well spent.

Best money I have spent....epic grip and well built. I have the boots as I have an ankle problem and they offer excellent support. If you have strong ankles I recommend the shoe version not boot as they do stop the flex in the ankle a little a little.

Cheers for input..

Next question where did you get yours..??

I don't like the blue'ish ones... Some colors seem hard to get my size.!

Also I've just been told the 2014 ones are lighter and thinner..!?!? How the hell do I know what year they are... ..!!

Anyone heard this.?

If you pass by Liverpool Street, pass by the Cycle Surgery at Strype Strett. I work there and we stock 5.10. Also we price match CRC ;)

oh and my 5tens were a perfect fit for my size 8 feet with a size 8 shoe, they're 2 years old now, but every time i throw them in the washing machine they come out like new !

Mine fit perfect, Ive got the Danny Macaskill ones that I notice a few others here have got too, they sure are sticky, thats why the newer version have a smooth 'grippless' bit on the sole, I can see the logic of that now, for micro adjusting your feet.

I have 5:10 VXI FreeRider's which have the stealth rubber sole, as said super sticky maybe a little to much lol! can get tricky on fast singletrack when you wanna move your feet about! the soles are quite thick meaning theres less feel through the pedals at times also, but should last forever & a day ;) Used CRC!
