Have a chat with norcobot from the forum, he built my purple spanks with hope hubs for a very good price, the shop is in Waltham abbey aswell so fairly local and you now there hand built not do e by a machine.

Got a similar decision, superstar dhx (f+r) or halo freedom (r)?

Have you considered the halo t2 as an inbetween

the freedom's are pretty heavy.

for dh, so not to bothered with weight, besides pitch wheel its replacing seem heavy.

Fair enough, i have halo sas f+r with hope front hub and a shimano rear.

obviously make sure the front is 20mm compatible

i am also planning on getting a 10mm thru axle rear built in to mine soon
