Anyone know the difference between the standard composite helmet and the cheaper Point 5 ones? They're half the RRP, so presuming they're heavier / not so well vented? Not much info online about them.

Could get one for £40 under crash replacement, or £80 for the composite - but thats about the same as online anyway. Pretty sure my helmet is okay to use, but found 3 small cracks after yesterday's off. Didn't whack it that hard so it's probably just the paint and not the foam that's cracked, but for piece of mind I'd prefer one with no cracks! (and no Bradley, it's not just because it's scratched  )

When I got my composite, I had a look at the point 5 aswell and didn't think twice about which one to buy . The point 5 came with no spare peak or bag and the padding and style looked cheap.

Thanks Bradley. It's hard to see any difference from the photos.

The only thing I don't like about mine is the single bolt holding the visor in place, it never stays tight. Thought this could be a nice upgrade but as it's not I'll stick with mine.

The visor on the new composite helmets are non adjustable, held on with two bolts,
Not sure why the visor is fixed, but it doesn't bother me,
