Great vw.

Theres nothing like live ammo being fired nearby to motivate you during a race. ;)

4hr for me, will be pushing up 'some' hills and enjoying the downs.

Ive ridden that course twice, last by 20+ mins, last to finish, so you might not be the slowest rider. ;)

4hr! Are you mad??? I know you like going round and round in circles (yogourt pots) but really???

I wonder how slippery those roots will be with all this rain? Its meant to be pretty sloppy already?

Last year's below zero conditions were horrible!
Just registered for the 3 rounds 4 hours. Beardee, if you are planning to drive there and you can take me on board we can share petrol. If not, by train, no problem! ;)

I'm registering for the Gorrick autumn series round 2, which is the 13th but there's only one train available to get me on time for the 9.45 start ( 4 laps Supermaster 30-39 cat.) so I've decided to do the Race 21,Sport Male 16+, starting at 2.16pm. 4 laps.

8-)

Can give you a lift to rd1, but wont be doing the other rounds.

Was tempted by rd1 of autumn classic, tunnel hill is meant to be a great course.

I'll consider doing rounds 2 and 3 of this.

Can't do round one as i'm on holiday, but the other dates should be fine.
Just looked at the course description- I've got a spindly hardtail. Will it cope ok with the 'bombholes' and stuff?

The courses are a couple of steps up from Thetford. have you ridden in the north downs before? The courses have 'alternative' lines round the bigger technical features but if your in close proximity to other racers you dont always see the signs so if your happy on technical features (small 2 - 3 ft drops, big bombholes and fast descents) youll be okay.

The courses are hilly, lots of ups and downs. rd3 has over 1000ft of climbing per lap. :o

rd2 at Ash ranges is an amazing course, was complicated last year by the snow and ice only partly melting producing a combination of ice snow and gloop in some sections whilst remaining dry in other parts. The course goes past huge targets where the army train, a bit unsettling when you can hear live ammo being fired nearby and you are right in front of the bullseye.

Hope that hasnt put you off. :)
