Depend what you want it for as I am unsure if most insurance companies will cover off road use. I use ETA but thats just against theft as I am pretty sure they wouldn't cover me if I snapped my bike in half riding downhill. One thing you need to make sure of is depending on how much your bike is worth you will need a specific registered grade lock, and you will have to keep a proof of purchase of those locks to claim.

Hi thanks for the reply,
yeah its mainly for theft to be honest, Im just a beginner riding trails around essex area, epping rainham, hainualt etc.....

Most home insurers will cover your bikes under contents. normally just need a top up if its over £1500.

I upgraded my Tesco home and contents insurance to Tesco Finest. Covers a bike up to £2000. Got loads of extra cover for home and contents for just a few quid more.

Got a free portable DVD player too! Weeeeeee!!!
