 Post subject: Anyone ever ridden the Malverns (in a Enduro/DH stylee)????

As above..... Raced there many moons ago, but will be going that way Saturday and intend on having a blast down some of the old routes. Just wanted to know if there's anything new there that's worth a look??

Looked into those hills a while ago and was recommended the black mountains instead.
Forest of Dean a short drive away and is superb, highly recommend. Great Dh runs though you need the uplift to get the most out of it.

Im just gonna go on an exploration one... Father in law lives there, and we're on a visit, so just making the most of it. ;)

I did the Mountain Mayhem this year with some mates - it's a 24hr enduro in Eastnor Deer Park which is in the Malverns - I won't go into the details.

All I would say is that I imagine it'e pretty awesome when it's dry but when it's wet it's mainly clay and it's really sticky. I was running 1.95 full mud tyres and they were still clagging up. So be prepared to get very dirty and have to stop a lot to clear the mud from your tyres / deraillleur.
