Its confirmed apparently, Aaron Gwin to ride for Team Specialized this year.

Didn't think he would leave Trek, think the session is one of the best bikes out there!

Copied from wideopen mag

The last several weeks have been a very difficult period for our company as owners of the Trek World Racing program. Despite the fact that on August 9 of last year, Aaron Gwin signed a legally binding Letter Of Intent with our team for the next three seasons, his agent wrote an email to the team in mid-December stating he had decided to race for another bike brand. Mr Gwin confirmed his agreement with our team in public statements, and he and his agent repeatedly confirmed the existence of, and commitment to, the agreement in written correspondence with us. Yet, only weeks before the team was required to submit the official team roster to UCI, Mr Gwin informed the team that he was abandoning TWR in total disregard of his contractual obligations.
does Gwin look like he gives a rat's arse...??

Gwin knows he has to go with the manufacturer who gives him the best input.
besides maybe trek have been underhand in some way and he's just longing them off for it

Doesn't sound like he was under a full contract. Its a short career which can end at any time. Cant blame any of the riders for pursuing what they see as the best option - although this seems a lot messier than Hill leaving.

A letter of intent does sound very different to a contract, I wonder what it actually covered ?

Anyway, it clears the way for Brook Macdonald to go over to trek, the musical chairs continue!

He's gone for the money, and can't blame him. They won't earn mega bucks and only have a short career on the top.

I do think the session is a better bike than the demo however, especially for his style of riding. I think it's going to be a more interesting season this time round, especially as Stevie Smith is going to be rapid this year, and I reckon Gee may be back on his game with GT.

Thats what I thought, sounds like its not actually 'legally binding' .....I expect he'll still be on top of the podium on a spesh.

Proud to announce that I will be riding for Specialized moving forward. There's much more to the story than what's been shared and i'm looking forward to setting that straight very soon. Thanks to my team and fans who've had my back in this time

I guess we will wait and see!
