Hi All

I'm James, I'm new to the area, just moved from Scarborough for work to what seems to be one of the flattest places in the country :(. I ride a Surly Pugsley for XC & a Karpiel Apocalypse for DH, just need to find some trails or a hill. Danbury's ok I hear & its not too far from me, I'm in Braintree. I've been twice but not found anything much because of my lack of local knowledge. I don't get much time off but when I do it would be good to meet up with some of you for a ride. I usually get Monday off then Sunday & Monday alternating. I'll keep an eye on the calendar. XC or DH I'm up for either & night rides, just need to ride, getting bored & unfit. I'm good for up to about 50 miles XC on the Pug & the Karp will eat anything no prob (( if I can keep the chain on ( & me )). Might need an engineers/machine shop for a D.I.Y. guide if anyone knows one that's local ish.

File comment: This is the old one I snapped, got a white one now no pics yet though. Trying to ride this without grinning is like trying to eat a fruit pastel without chewing.

File comment: Getting this anywhere near its limits is pretty much impossible, it ate the Pic Blanc, I'll keep trying though.

Think i may have met you in cycles uk in braintree? ?? if it was you putting more lights than a xmas tree on your white bike!
danbury is 17 miles away and there is a 30 mile fire trackish route to stanstead and back ftom the station car park!
do you drive?

Welcome I'm stansted way closest stuff is Danbury and Epping you then have chicksands and Aston hill
I get a few Mondays off so if you ever want to ride let me know and I'll check my shifts

Hi I think I just need a piece of angle section ally, now I've thought about it some more I reckon I can shape it myself with a grinder.

It will make it feel flat & yea course you can have a go on the Pug mate, best get saving though its quite addictive.
