I'm going to either Aston Hill or PORC on Saturday 23rd from the morning till early afternoon (unless I'm really digging the place).

I'll see how I feel nearer the time but it will be either

Aston Hill - check out 4X and see if the DH is hardtail'able
PORC - plan on sessioning the dirt jumps, moving onto 4X and see if the DH is hardtail'able.

And I'm fairly sure I'll end up at Danbury in the late afternoon/ evening.

I'll be on the silver DMR hardtail.... 8-)

See I would go but I'd need a lift. I haven't been to PORC for years would be nice to see whats there or isn't there now.

4x is well over grown so don't expect too much. The dh are ok ok hard tail, maily roots to worry about, no massive jumps or anything.

Thing is I'm actually looking for some downhill stuff with drops and rocks.

I'm not a pigeonhole hardtail rider looking somewhere a bit more gnarly than chicky and different to Danbury.

I'm going to go chicky and make a day checking my lines and jump technique by the looks of things.

Nope.

I get the impression you need to have a guide or know where the runs are instead of just turning up.

Is it pretty obvious where stuff is?

It couldn't be more obvious - just walk in and you'll see almost everything coming down the hills towards you!

Yeah, going to chicksands. Im planning on giving it my all on the 4X and dual as I'm desperate to clear all the doubles/hips and try clearing the triple.

Been practicing my launch technique and trying as hard as possible not to comfort brake!

I'm planning on going to Woburn on 31st.
