We are on the road with the burger van. Took a while to get out of my street and we haven't booked a hotel tonight yet. It's a classic road trip already.

Did Chris manage to turn round in your road with less than a 352 point turn this time?

Guess your fallback is a night in the burger van...

My conclusions from the weekend

25 is waaaaay older than 24
Nuclear wheelchairs are easy to build
Inappropriate John should not be allowed near ur kids
2 burger kings and 2 cooked breakfasts are not good for ur gut / anyone elses health
Chris and Stefan are Troy Lee twins
Exmoor is just stunning
You can have too many scones and cream
I’m still no way near Tranny on the steep and wet stuff
Don’t go charging off just after you crash . You will crash again
Nothing feels better than a loose purple blouse with a plunging neckline fluttering in the breeze and you rip through the woods
Don’t ride Brendan at the end of the day
Nothing looks funnier than a loose purple blouse with a plunging neckline fluttering in the breeze and you rip through the woods
Uk Uplift always involves a pedal at some point
Duncan + family are super nice
Homemade cakes at lunch make all the difference
Don’t follow Tranny if he takes a ‘short cut’
Don’t think ur safe once the trail ends if Chris is on your tail
Whooping and yelling as you nail tracks in a group is mandatory
Inappropriate John is a bog connoisseur
You can make magic trees curl
Damo thinks there is nothing worse than warm eggs
Ipad + angry birds is the perfect poo companion
95mph with a trailer starts off as scary but soon become de rigueur
Breakfast is the most confusing meal of the day
Snorezilla and his supporting cast mean earplugs are a definite requirement for future trips
Damo’s crew argue more than Harry Enfield’s scousers
Switchbacks and scandinavian flicks are so much fun
Tranny has a serious seepage issue
Haribo makes you huck

And of course….

It doesn’t get better than riding good trails with good friends.

Vids and pics to follow ;)

Sounds ace! Apart from Triscombe did you ride further along the Quantocks at all? Might try an organise a trial riding trip for next year around that area as some have expressed an interest and I know the Quantocks well.

Great trip guys, one of those where the good biking was the icing on the cake. The whole weekend had a really laid back vibe thanks to setting, the hosts and the company. A special place that goes to the top of my uplift list but Exmoor being Exmoor we will never get weather like that again!

I filled my 8GB SD card with footage so god knows when I will get round to editing it!

All we need is a few people to have the snoring surgery and the next trip (and night in the tent - will be perfect)

Vid of the action. Mainly Exmoor. If i get Evils stuff ill add it in - its a long one and more for the crew that was there. The trails arnt stunt filled so tricky to edit down. Ill pull out the bits worth checking out later.

No tunes as the occasional commentary, in particular the squawking on the switchbacks run is fairly entertaining.

None of Exmoor is particularly steep but it is loose and fast
