I've just ordered some of those Bonty's heard good thongs about them. Now all I need is a tyre suitable for sandy soil like Surrey and I'll have a decent option for everything.

From my regular riders over there, 3 of us run High Rollers 2,35, other one uses fire xc.

Great in the summer and when its dry but when we went it was slippier than usual and needed a bit more grip up front.

I'll have to look into a set of the high rollers and maybe some of the super tacky compound tyres. My Verticals had dealt with pretty much everything I'd asked them too, but they really didn't like it last week. I reckon the dry they'd have been fine, just weird miniscule droplets of surface water made it very interesting.

Mud X will do it all!!!

High Rollers do for me most of the year. It it gets a bit wet and slippy I stick a Swamp Thing on the front, or rear as well if it gets really muddy.

hows the knees / head?

Weird day that, no idea where surface water came from, no rain was forecast in the previous week.

The knees fine and has an impressive scab for such a small injury!

Heads good, no adverse effects that I'm aware of. It was a bit strange, it'd be like going back and finding a swamp now after all the sunshine!

Will definitely try and get back over there so I can tackle those trails a bit more and hopefully get them better dialled.
