Hi,

I am as much of a beginner as it’s possible to be, I got a bike on the cycle to work scheme (Specialized Camber Comp) and I need to get it dirty really. Totally clueless though want to start with somewhere simple and local (I live in east London) can someone please tell me how to get to the trails near Enfield?

Yeah i would like to aswell i live near dalston also. This website doesnt give.us the location of the trails.

The reason why the details of the trails are not obvious is because they are completely built and maintained by riders.

Unfortunately, as shown at Brentwood, when loads of teenagers who are only interested in riding the jumps, newbies who case the jumps and don't pat the mud back, idiots who litter, the details of such loved ride spots are best kept relatively hidden.

Be honest- would you tell everyone about something you had put time and effort into so that it could (sadly) predictably get trashed?

Meet up on one of the rides or even the repair days and you'll get told.

It's not everyone being elitist or being tossers; we're just fed up of great places being taken away or ruined.

If you are looking at riding Epping take a look at the web site, meet up at Bury Road, Chingford, two mins from the trainstaition, i went out riding with the group saturday for a full days ride, ready good fun and they seem to know some good single track stuff. Real mix of ages and abilities (they split up into two groups, one fast and one slow) so gives you room for improvment of health and skill)

RE: Trails getting trashed. Thats seems fair enough, I'm a total begginer but 0 intention of trashing anythign adn not a teenager (26).

Feeling a little shy about turning up on a ride due to how much of a begginer I am and fitness levels, but guess i should just grow a pair and come along to the next ride.

I guess people go most Saturdays?
