Right so a few weeks ago i went to cannock, got over enthusiastic broke the rear mech and chain, so it was an ideal opertunity to strip down and get the things that have been niggling me sorted.

Stripped the frame completely down, ordered a new rear mech, new chain, new chain device and some cable stays and of course some custom made stencils

then i set about stripping the paint off.
Let me tell you, that glow in the dark paint just did not want to come off! 3 days later i was at a point i could start prepping.


then to add the stencils

a bit of masking



so now i start to build up the shadowing. this was a plan that started off being a tribal tattoo then to glow in the dark tribal to the writing.
so without looking too closely it will just look green, get closer and you'll see the shadow writing, and when the lights go out on the night rides you'll see the writing! all bold like

so before the lacquer goes on (and the lights stay on) this is what it looks like

so now i have to wait for the laquer to dry and harden, then build her back up before getting her all muddy again on sunday!
cant wait!

Just popped home to sort something out, obviously had to check on it, much better now with the lacquer on and the writing really shows up when you get in the shade.

That looks good mate, I had my BMX in flourescent Pink with Glow in the dark over the top.
When the lights used to go out over the skatepark all you used to be able to see was my frame!
It's good stuff!

You got a green turtle suite to wear with it as well, carabunga dude.

Also the cleanest your bike has been for ages.....

Looks good, I think green is the in colour this season as I posted on Joels green machine. A nice fox 360 green jersey would go a treat with it.

This project is nearly at an end as poor dally has developed a death crack in the rear triangle, so new frame will be ordered asap

I havent put up the picture's of what it looks like in the dark!
charged them up with my lights

then took loads of pictures, but these phone camera's are poo and my digi is at work.

it actually shows up a lot brighter in the flesh.
