We make up the rules as we go along!

This is intended to be a section for just selling bike related gear.. but it doesn't actually say that anywhere so fair enough.. you can have this one!

llI change it so it mentions only posting bike stuff or it will become a car boot sale on here!

...good motors those old golfs.

Whats the cars location?
do you have any paper work to back up the miledge?
any service history with the car?

The 2.0 gti is known for losing water and oil, does this one use any?

Hi, I have all old mots bar one and service history up to 57000 in 2009, services since then have been by a good local mechanic, never lost any water on this and oil level has never dropped noticeably between services which has been around every 6k, I'm in harwich

Ive missed 3 items in the advert that are worth noting,

1. drivers electric window inoperable
2. starter motor makes a whirring noise on start up, although this was replaced in 2009 so should have years of life in it yet
3. front right wing has been painted at some point and is noticeable in the right light

ive had people ask why its so cheap, its cos i want it gone and cant be arsed to hang on to it for another 2 months chasing £200
its a genuine bargain for someone

does the electric window motor work, can you hear it? Does it drop all the way down into the door?
usualy its just the plastic clips that hold the window to regulator that snap,

the noise on the starter is just dirt and dust causing the over run,
can easily be taken apart and cleaned, then regreased.

the wing, how bad is the mismatch? would it show in a picture?

I am enquiring about the car for a friend who is looking for a golf so its not for me directly

The window motor is working but dosnt move at all, never has since ive owned the car, i had the plastic clips break on my first mk4 i had, in the rain and 60 miles away from home, not good.

The colour match is good, the issue is that it wast mopped properly and looks a bit flat, the first picture above shows the wing and it looks good there, ill polish it by hand tomorrow and get a good side on photo of it.

Ok thanks, sounds like the window is just a regulator cable problem, not too bad to sort.
I will pass your details onto my mate. he currently has a mk4 1.4 but wants the 2.0.
