Hi all,

I'm looking for a new, reasonably priced full facer and I've just found this:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=72416

a 661 Comp Shifted 2012.

Can anybody (preferably someone that actually owns one/last year's version) tell me what their like?

I usually ride with an open face however, after a few moments getting intimate with the trees at Danbury last weekend, I'm beginning to think I should cover my delicate little face!

I have the 2011 version

pretty average helmet for the price (i payed £45) not as light or as comfortable as higher end helmets, but for 1/4 of the price you cant expect it too
i havent worn it too much as i usually take the pisspot as cba carrying it, but when i have i havent gotten too hot in it (even in summer), it has had good visibility (havent worn it with goggles so cant comment on that) and hasnt came across as feeling overly heavy to me and it has felt comfy to me

Yeah I always go Full Face at Danbury! Wouldnt risk it on the DH sections.

If your looking for a helmet for that added security but dont wana splash the cash that will do the job, just depends how much your going to be wearing it as i would generally say with helmets, you pay for what you get. The main sacrifice is weight.
