Its crap out there, wouldnt bother.
fresh snowfall or completely trampled are the best options, but it worse than thick cloggy mud. been amazing though upto yesterday.

As there was nobody at Langdon 9am I diverted to Thorndon for 10am start. Wasn't too bad, not the most fun ever but it was quite a laugh riding some of the slightly downhill bits. The proper downhill bits were a nightmare for me as V-Brakes DO NOT WORK AT ALL in these conditions. Queue one face plant.... Flats & uphills were tricky in such deep snow, didn't ride for as long as I thought I would. But, still glad I got out there and blew away the cobwebs.

That depends how far behind me you will be? I have a 2nd set, but not sure of the battery, i'll charge it and use it to ride to work in the morning(not looking forward to that one  ) to see how it lasts. your more than welcome to use it for a ride.
if snow stays white it should be pretty light, we'll wait and see.

We only managed 4.5 miles too. Was such a slog. Like riding through constant deep mud. Has to abandon getting to woods and head home to build snow stuff with my boys :)
