Starting from April.

I'm buying a van to convert it into a cheapo camper van. I'm taking my climbing gear and the mountain bike.

First stop is the 12 hours uk solo mtb championship at Newcastetlon during Easter and after that I'm heading to Alps and around. Sellaronda Hero is the 23rd June in Dolomites

Also I'm thinking of flying to western US or New Zealand next winter for 2-4 months. Where's the meca of mtbiking, Moab? Also Whistler, Canada? Who knows, I can be anywhere anytime :D :D

I hope to meet you for some last rides before I leave. Or if you have plans to go on holiday to Alps and want to ride together let me know! Don't think I have time to build my rigid ss mtb though

Destinations, best time of year, places to visit, insurance, tips...any advice would be highly appreciated.

;)

Cool! Lucky git! What's your job in London? Only asking as they may have a vacancy now and they obviously pay too much! :P
Try http://www.mbronline.com/ for US trails. As for Canada, Whistler is a must.
