Seem to recall that Beth won the Essexhertsmtb league last year and also did rather well in the whole thing - 12th wasn't it?.....oh, and by the way the prize, if you do win the whole thing, is a rather lovely looking Trek Slash 8

We have 8 runners and rides for the Essexhertsmtb mini-league so far......

.... 1st race is 17-18 March - Pietermaritzburg - think it will still have the long pedally middle section so should be a good indication of who's put the hard work in over the off season ... who's the smart money on for the overall win this year?

Ive constructed a distributed computing program to analyse the split times on all tracks from the last 10 years. Its currently crunching the numbers, and mapping in all variations in atmospheric pressure, precipitation, loam consistency, number of ti bolts, snugness of racing outfits and wind tunnel testing to give me my predicted best team for this year. I need a couple more weeks to gather the results.

Failing that ill pick the riders who do the biggest whips like I did last year
