Madman... That's a hairy enough sprint down to the gate (if you're talking about the one just over from the bench where there are a couple of muddy slopes with channel down the middle and then into the long grassy run to the gate).
I've managed to catch a couple of choice humps to get a bit of air from on a couple of occasions
We got pretty muddy doing Hockley last Sunday morning but at least it's not the damn clay like Hadleigh. Last time we rode there in the wet, the stuff just sticks to the bike everywhere, building up and getting heavier and heavier.
Even if you don't come for the Grips ride, maybe we'll organise a night trip around the route on another evening, just the few of us, without the normal pace / pressure.. I've not done it since before Christmas anyway but will probably pop along again soon.
