Cable discs are pretty cheap and save mucking about with bleeding them ect. also doesnt matter as much if you buckle a wheel or ride through puddles!

saying that, are the hubs disc compatible? hard to tell from the pics!

Yeah they are compatible

i have some hayes mx2's sitting around not up to much so will use them.

i also have some Blank levers i liberated so will use them.

but i intend on riding it first and worry about upgrades later

i still have to convert my pitch to 1 x 9

Sounds like there's a lot of tweaking to be done to both rigs!

You still planning on getting out on this one down Baddow on sunday for a bit?

Cool cool I will try and pop down there if i can Sunday morning then! Probably will only be for an hour of two but will be good to get out either way!!

I wear pads and lid! I'll be the one laughing when the kids without pads and lid fall on their face!!!!!! :high5:

I have carried out a couple of mods now:

Dj3's
Blank Levers
Superstar lock rings to keep the grips in place
Red Dice valve caps
Dmr V8 pedals (also serviced them)
Hayes MX2 Rear Brake, front to follow when i have sourced a suitable wheel
Pivotal seat and post, so much lighter than the original and bashes the knees less!

I went off to the right over a set of doubles and tried to correct as i landed. according to my mate i had the wheel turned as i landed so it naturally dug in and threw me over the bars and off for a roll about in the mud.
my mate whacked fuck out of it on the floor and it it was more than straight enough to carry on so did a couple more hours on it.
gonna drop it off to stanley bridge later to get it trued up
