So in readiness for this fabulously dry weather and the fact I almost got a full bonus this year has meant I decided to treat myself to a few things with some nice upgrades from some of the stock components I had left on the bike, so I've put some nice new XT SPD's on and a pair of Nobby Nic Evo Pacestar's, it was a close call as to whether I'd ever get them onto the rim, certainly my fingers and tyre levers won't be forgiving me for a while.

I also picked up a 1990 Flite saddle, I used to have one of these on my diamondback axis, and it was the most comfortable saddle I've ever had, I'm pleased to say that this is the same, I'll probably stock up on a spare.

The only thing left to think about is forks, these are cheapo RS Recon Silvers which I picked up for £100 as an emergency replacement, any recommendations for 100-120mm Forks for under £300?

I used to have one on my DB Axis too. I used it for years after changing bikes as they were almost indestructible and comfy. However they started to become less and less comfy as I got older so I changed but they are one of 'the' great saddles.
