I would like to get into 4x, i cant jump very well though, plus i am recovering from a broken wrist and elbow.

Living in Norwich doesnt help much either.

Some cool pics there, looks like a good day.

Steve,

All of the tracks are "roll-able" as there are youngsters that race too there are no doubles that are not able to be rolled and the majority of jumps are tables. It is invariable the "Pro-Lines" that are doubles so that's not a worry.

At the end of the month (29th April) there is Round 2 of the British 4x series and it is at PORC in Kent. There is a Fun (12-17yo) and Big Fun (18+) category for people wanting to try out 4x racing!

It costs £25 to enter online and £30 on the day! Get involved at its a great days racing and well worth a go!!!

:high5:

Cheers Matt,

I definitely like the idea of trying it out, my confidence is pretty shot at the moment, when that improves will look into it.

I have some tuition booked with Tom Dowie next month, hopefully that will help too.

Matt, how serious is the 'Big Fun' category? I'm going to come along and shoot you serious guys racing, but it might be a laugh to give it a go! Would it be worth trying to lug a 40lb downhill rig around the 4X track? I should I just stick to what I'm good at?

Nice one Steve, Dowie is a good guy and will get your confidence up for sure!!!

Chris, I've seen some serious DH rigs at 4x races and I'm sure PORC will be no exception!!

Some tracks aren't as good for the big rigs as others BUT if uve got a bike with 1 working brake, covered bar ends and a full face that's all you need really to enjoy a good days racing!! :)

I'll mostly be in the Identiti pit area during PORC so make sure you come along and say hi if I don't see you before then!!

Well my plan is to hit the bmx track for the next 2-3 weekends to try and get my speed back up again, hopefully it works.

But i am tempted with another Chicksands trip before my tuition.

Do you wear any support on your wrist?
