Hi all,

Looks interesting with some new technical sections. Just wonder how much of it will be left/modified for the eventual opening to the public once the games are completed, expected Autumn 2013.

Some good news about the legacy as well below about keeping the track in some forms and it being designated a a red route with shop facilities and cycle hire!

Hopefully it will be worth the wait. A 15 minute ride away and I and lots of other people will be happy. Just hope the legacy lives up to it's name!!

Was it that there going to build a trail centre and leave the rest of the track alone? Adding new routes in the future?

They will make some chicken runs and some of the really gnarly stuff will be rebuilt, plus they're adding new trails of all levels, shop hire place etc

Posted from my phone ' cos I can't wait to get to a PC!

All good news....It would make sense to rebuild some of the gnarly stuff but remove some of the jagged rocks (the builders certainly have a rock obsession !)..Ive got a rather nice scar still from having a sneaky go about a year ago.

Think ill try and go to the next legacy track exibition thingie which is next Weds 11th I believe.

The Echo mentioned that the planning application would soon be in, this should mean you will be able to view the proposed track(s) just as you can view the current Olympic one.

Incidently turned on Eurosport the other day and they were showing the first stage of the UCI DH cup (South Africa), its repeated today (Sun 7th) if anyones interested.

Dirttrack Del and myself went to another open evening last night and i think both of us were very impressed with what we were told!!

After the event we can expect more trails, a red and blue route and the nasty bits will have chicken runs, but more importantly there is a guy thats involved in the building and design starting a new club that will have some sort of control over the development of the site to include lots of popular features.

there will be a shop / hire place / changing rooms etc

the guy is on the ball with some pretty big ambitions but seeing as most of it is just digging i reckon its easily achievable, very quickly, he undersands that after the authorities have 'made the trail safe' regular riders will start to adapt to it slowly and it will find its own flow through use, which is cool

If you want to get involved (the more the better) look on facebook for hadleigh 2012 group the group or club is forming now with a Monday night ride from Leigh at about 6:30 and a later one at 8:00 but both finishing at the start point - 10 green bottles in Leigh on sea for a few bevvies.

After speaking to a few people last night i think we'll have an awesome place to ride !

Good info Jon..Would of gone but too lazy after work :(

Great to see people have got good plans, I think with the inclusion of some berms and some pumping bits a half decent DH run could be made, any extras would be a bonus.
