Riders of Essex Herts MTB I'm looking for a little help in a new project being researched for an Indoor Mountain Bike and BMX Park in or around London.

If you live in or around London and can spare 5 mins to fill in this survey then it be enormously appreciated. Many thanks

Just filled it in :) . I see how it would work with BMX and jumps inside, but how would XC and trails work?

Daniel - what's your involvement in the project? Can you give a bit of background to it?

That's cooler than I thought it would be!

To be honest though, I probably wouldn't travel just to do the XC type stuff indoors. If I was the jumping type, and wanted to stretch my legs then it would be fun, but if I want an XC blast then I think I'd prefer to be outside getting wet and muddy :D

First thanks everybody for your responses and feedback. It is invaluable.

My background is I'm just an enthusiast mountain biker trapped in the concrete jungle of London that I madly love.. I work full time for a living outside of the bike industry but I am committed to developing sustainable off road biking facilities in urban environments. I was instrumental or more lucky enough to be part of the team that launched the Trax club 3 years agos and the Lordship Loop bike park in Tottenham at the end of last year. Today I run a not for profit mtb website called iBikeRide.com which is committed to developing urban off road facilities as well as sharing knowledge. Since launching Lordship Loop I see further opportunities in a) developing more outdoor bike parks b) creating a racing league across the bike parks of London and c) developing an indoor off road facility.

To this end I am researching the next project that I think would add most value to the strategy of developing off road cycling in urban environments.

There is a huge thread on Pinkbike about an indoor UK bikepark. Not London related, but alot of interesting advice....
