The UKBike Skills place looks like quite a sandy/dirt surface so should hold up ok in the rain <fingers crossed> don't want to drive all that way only to have to re-schedule !!

Probs best to call him tomorrow afternoon to see how its going 'up north'

He will probably advise anyway. If all goes pear shaped maybe we sneak off to Chicksands!!!

Like your thinking !

The rain has been driving me mad too :( While I don't mind riding in the rain, or riding muddy trials (although going uphill on wet grass is no fun) the main problem I have is I finish work at 5, so even if I managed to get out on the trials at 6 once I'm finished and home I don't have a alot of daylight left to get the bike cleaned, which is ever more important if I'm splashing through mud. Other issue I've got at the moment is my current tyres aren't as nobbly as I would like, so it gets quite interesting in the wet, lots of fun though!

I'm out tomorrow though, I skipped today because of the rain, it's not stopping me tomorrow!

It's loopy. I'm sheltering from an insane downpour right now. Outlook for the next month looks wet too.

Shoes on the radiator at work today after getting caught in a down pour on the cycle in.

I think of it as preparing me for the NZ winter I will be heading in to!

Spent a day at UK Bike Skills yesterday.

To say it was wet was a bit of an understatement. Loved every minute of it though.

It rained so much the stream/waterfall in the middle of the North Shore area was rapidly flowing, this only flows once 2 prior connecting water holding area's are full to the brim. Tony said it hadn't flowed like that for 2 years. This caused the lower area of the North Shore to be submersed in flood water.

So much torrential rain my waterproof jacket and socks became water logged and this morning where my feet were so wet for so long the skin has all peeled, lol.

I think I need to invest in some more waterproof gear!!

I love wet riding..... No finer way of sharpening your riding skills than getting loose in the mud. Come dry times, you'll be as sharp as a knife on the lines and sketchy single track ;)

That was funny. We were all there to polish up our skills and we all had our fair share of slips and offs. I managed to slide off and kiss the floor on the next turn which you fell off, luckily no one saw. I think you took the trophy for the best fall of the day :)

Good to meet you :D

I Should change my screen name to Buzz Lightyear "This isn't flying, it's falling with style!"
You'll have to show me round your trails in Hadleigh/Belfairs some time soon. Haven't rode a bike round belfairs woods since I was a kid, be good to get back there.

Ha, yes 'to infinity and the pond!!'

We ride during the week usually Tuesday's and Sunday's. With this weather though we have hardly been out over the last few weeks.

Check out this link on the website which we tend to use to organise a ride. http://www.essexhertsmtb.co.uk/mountain ... t1900.html or in the bike rides section. As you are on Facebook aswell we could let you know on there. There is a good mix of people who come out :)

FFS, raining yet again today... While it's not chucking it down, it's enough that I won't be able to get the bike dry after washing it. At this rate I'm thinking I should get a refund on my bike and buy it again in a few months when it maybe possibly could have stopped raining.
