Hey All,

Just to let you know that Round 2 of the British 4x series is this Sunday at PORC!!!

Entry is only £25 on the British Cycling website and £30 on the day.

I'll be there (race no. 242) and so will Benji. He has decided to give 4x a go for the very first time. He is entering the "Big Fun" category and is just racing on his single speed DJ bike. If you own a bike and want to give bar to bar racing a go turn up and race!!! The only requirements is you have a 26in wheel bike with at least 1 working brake, a full face helmet and no exposed bar ends!!! It really is that simple to go racing!!!

Check out http://www.british4x.com/ for more details!

Hopefully see some more of you there!!!!

Looking forward to it :D

Going primarily to take photos, might chuck the bike in the back of the car though and think about this 'big fun' thing when I get there!

Nice one matey!!!!! Hopefully the weather will get better for some awesome action shots!!!

I would certainly recommend entering as its a great laugh and your SX Trail is a good weapon for the PORC track!!!!

Fingers crossed for the weather!

Tsk Matt, it wasn't an SX trail, it was an enduro, and unfortunately it's all cleaned up and ready to be sold. The new ride is a devinci Wilson, which certainly isn't an ideal tool for the job, but it'd be interesting lugging it around a 4x track nonetheless! :D

It varies from place to place. As its a non championship category it really is a case of anyone who wants to rock up and give it a whirl...can!

There are some guys who maybe should look to move up to Senior but there are others who have never been on a gate before so its such a wide spread of rider skill levels. In all honesty its a great day to try out 4x and a good category to learn your skills if you want to progress and move up a category!!

Steve you have the bike for it as a Transition bank is a great 4x weapon so i would really recommend giving it a go!!!

I am going to get Ben to give you guys a write up of his experience from the day and then hopefully will entice you to give it a go!!
