Not sure if any of the riders who were in Laingdon Hills this morning are members here, but if they are I just wanted to say hi and thanks for being very polite when you past the Mrs and I today!

As complete newbies we were really impressed with the fact that every rider said 'Morning' to us which may sound no big deal but it was very much appreciated.

Its only our second time over there but had a nice 6 mile ride and feel exhausted now!!

Everyone i've met so far from these forums is really cool on and offline! :)

Makes a difference, most big bike forums are full of elitists and dickheads, it's a nice change to have somewhere to chat with chilled out people :)

Where abouts are you based dude? :)

In Basildon so Langdon hills ain't too far. The ride up laindon link was a bit hard going today but I blame the fact we went yesterday and today so the old legs still ache from yesterday's outing!

Its such a nice spot to ride as its so quite. It was also nice and muddy in places but having just finished cleaning the bikes we may need to rethink going through the mud again! :high5:

I'd like to know what route too, as I went over there last week and was stopped by the "ranger" or whatever he calls himself, I have a few names in mind, told me I could only ride the bridle paths and couldn't just go "where I liked".
Puts me off going there with knobs like that about, just gonna stick to warley

The way i avoid the ranger is to take the trail entrance into to the park instead of taking the main entrance and to be quite honest the trails are not the best as it has to many steep hills we only go in that part of Langdon hills to use the 'bowl' for some nice jumps, the bit we use mostly is across the road form the harvester all the way to the farms its lovely :D
